That looks mighty familiar.....nope, not a K&N, but the same thing. Different Manufacturer. How'd you like the performance boost, and when did you get it?

K..now I'm confused, Paul...you mentioned that you were waiting for your Series II short ram intake from ADTR..right?

So, is that it? And I thought ADTR'* came with K&N cone filters? Or does Hector use another manuafacturer? :?

Ah...understood, I assumed Hector used K&N...silly me. I haven't heard from Paulnan the Beerbarian lately so I haven't had a chance to ask him if it arrived, but I know he was waiting ever so patiently for it

is k&n really that superior, or are you just paying for the name most of the time?

Alright here is an arcticle done by Hot Rod Magizine . It shows how the K&N stood up against alot of other performance elements. http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/70738/index.html

I am sorry but there is some reading involed :(
but it should help you get a little view of what the elements do.

Default Hey fella'*!

The reason why I asked this question is because I asked young hec if it was going to be a k@n filter and this one doesnt have the k@n logo or their red and black trade mark :? Now i have to paint the blue tip red to match my underhood colour scheme.Which shouldnt be too hard.I also asked him if he could make my grommet red?Guess he forgot :o .I would have been alot happier with the real K@n filter cause just the K@n stamp alone is worth 5-10 horse!Anyway'* bottom line is I Did notice an increase in performance and better yet It sounds incredible.I'll post some better pics after i clean up the engine bay a little.

That'* just a cheap knock off! Well not "cheap" but still a knock off of K&N'* design. By the looks of it, it looks like an APC filter cone actually.
