I have the Intense standard PCM as well, on a series II N/a. Huge difference from stock. For the 1997 only, you have to swap out a little chip that is under a cover with two star screws. Put your stock one on the new PCM you get. Intense doesn't make this all that clear. The chip you are swapping is your knock module, which also has the crankshaft variation data stored on it (CASE). If you do not swap this chip you either have to have a dealer do a CASE learn, or risk running the module that'* already in there and possibly having undetected misfires. Intense'* PCM'* are recycled from other cars, to the knock module that comes in your new PCM has values stored from a CASE learn on whatever vehicle it originally came on. I had my Lesabre up to 120 mph today, at 4500 rpms in 3rd gear. That'* a lot of room left for top speed! The car should honestly do 140-145 before it doesn't have enough HP to overcome wind resistance.

I recall when I ordered mine, it came the next day. Can't beat that kind of service.

Yeah, they do a nice job at Intense. It doesn't take them long to reprogram a PCM, and they usually get a unit shipped out the same day they receive it.

I also want to echo the instructions about swapping the KR module from your old PCM to the new one. Make sure you do this.... then report back to us with results on how the car drives. You should be pretty pleased with it.
