Default Red light filters

Is there any way that I would be able to put a filter on my inside reading lights so that the light is red and people can read without screwing up the drivers night vision, but also not restricting the amount of light emitted??? Would I need to replace the bulbs with red ones, or could I put in a filter like they do with flashlights?

ALL my Interior Lights are now red! I used red 194'* (APC'*) in the front footwells (under the dash) AND RED LENS REPAIR TAPE in a 6' roll for everything else! The roll is available of most auto parts stores. It'* 6' X 1" (or so) & the perfect width to cover out light covers w/o any trimming! Any more questions just ask!

Some of the bulbs won't be available in red. Oddballs. You'll have to use cellophane or gels for some.

Buy red tint film. It won't melt. But 194-R are easier to find. I found that red lens repair tape was next to impossible to find. The tint film works for me!!

And you can still read inside the car if the lights are on

Red Light District!!
