Red light filters
Is there any way that I would be able to put a filter on my inside reading lights so that the light is red and people can read without screwing up the drivers night vision, but also not restricting the amount of light emitted??? Would I need to replace the bulbs with red ones, or could I put in a filter like they do with flashlights?

i had some of that lens repair tape covering some tail light bulbs in my Nissan truck because i have clear tail lights on it...but it started to melt and when i opened the assembly up to change them out with LED'* it looked like the tape caught on fire or somthing....just a thought

Buy red tint film. It won't melt. But 194-R are easier to find. I found that red lens repair tape was next to impossible to find. The tint film works for me!!
And you can still read inside the car if the lights are on
Red Light District!!
