Default INTENSE PCM is in and I love it!

Woohoo! My INTENSE PCM arrived today. Got ready, got a book, installed the PCM and sat down for some fun times doing the Security Learn proceedure that worked perfectly. 30 Mins later I was on the road.

I know my car VERY well and exactly how it acts and shifts in certain situations, etc. Went out for the drive, and EVERYTHING that annoyed me about the slow shifts, early engagement of a gear, low RPM shifting, etc was gone

Took the car up to the now 6300rpm shift point and was smiling ear to ear, I love it! It is now shifting about 900 RPM higher in first gear very much using the powerband of the cam.

Car shifts out of first at 59 mph now and I went up to 98 and didn't hit the second shift yet. Getting on the freeway I had a skipshift to first I wasn't used to and man was that nice, I could always merge quite well with the power I had but it was exceptional today. Basically this PCM removed all the terrible restrictions that were on this perfectly tuned engine and wow is it happy!

No more inefficient catalyst or missfire codes, and overall the car is working how it should. I can very much feel the added timing as well, just have not scanned it yet.
Watch out Rogue, I'm on my way!!!

Sounds awesome. What kind of 1/4 times are you hoping for?

Well, last time out I gained MPH but my ET was the same 14.2. I made more power and had a worse launch. I also had 3KR that I have removed and I put in a 180tstat.

I feel I could have run a 13.9 on the stock PCM with a good launch.

My aim for the season is 13.6... since I am going no further in mods this year, that is the time I think I can hit with the added RPM and Timing Advance.

Good to hear the PCM has got you all excited!!! Guess like many others have said, it wakes up the rest of your mods!!

I'm still waiting for my PCM

Too bad you weren't at the track I was at 2 weeks, the stickiest track I've been to!

Enjoy!

I knew you would like it. Your going to be at nationals right? Hope to have my LSD and slicks by then. I'm finding it very hard to launch the car with all the power. Good luck on the quest for mids 13'*

Yes indeed, The higher shift points are great aren't they. I wish I could go to Nationals with you guys, but I already got another vacation planned that weekend. I'll meet up with you guys at the next one, going to The one in Iowa in September, can't think the name of the event.

Enjoy the new PCM

Hey caminated, did you get an INTENSE sticker with your PCM? I know I didnt, and Lee seemed surprised that I didnt get one with my rockers and stuff.
