The car did well (34mpg) until the cam. The engine is moving a lot of air, but uses a lot of gas to compensate. I get about 27mpg now on the highway and maybe 16 in town.

Average 19mpg It could be far above 20 if I drive like grandama. But when I lead foot a whole tank I see 14.x mpg, also winter time with the remote start I saw 12.x mpg

I'm glad i was the first car out of Red Lobster, i've heard some stories about that. Then I heard how she didn't race against JLaudioeclipse till he was halfway home from the light.

The LSD in my fiance'* gt is awesome, in all conditions and in snow especially.
In most cases, if set up right, mods can actually help MPG.
Stock I'd ride 29 or so on the freeway. I get 34/5 at 70mph and 31/2 cruizing at 83 as we do here in Michigan.
However, get into the happy foot and that drops SUBSTANTIALLY. I reset my average MPG at the track and ran 4.x. Basically used 1/16th of a gallon of fuel in 13 seconds. Its probably more than that but fun to play with stats.
Interested to see what the LSD does for ya. I have some DR'* to try to hopefully somewhat keep up.. I'm still aiming for 13.6/5 on the 3.25 though to give myslef some room when I get the 3.0 goin.
Seeya this weekend.

somebody asked about tranny gears and gas mileage.
off Intense'* web
off Intense'* web
Generally speaking, steeper gear ratios will improve your acceleration and E.T., while reducing your fuel economy and trap speeds. In round numbers, each gear step (from 2.93:1 to 3.29:1 for example) will reduce your quarter mile E.T. by about a tenth of a second and your trap speed by about 1.0 MPH. Your engine speed (RPM) will increase by about 13% at any given vehicle speed and your gas mileage will be reduced by about 5%. Changing from 2.93:1 to 3.69:1 gears will approximately double all the effects listed in this paragraph.
