Be warned:

This topic will NOT turn into a battleground for issues coming from ZZP or CGP.

Until Scott sounds off, you only have one side of the story.

It'* good though that we hear some user testimonial.

It is only one sided, but as long as we read it, and stay far away from the arguements over there, it'll be fine.

It is good input, and I would think that Big Jeff, being the technical side of Intense, would know what he is talking about. I do not know about customer service issues, that kind of thing, and for that Scott does need to reply (which according to others he never does).

I don't know how comments from Big Jeff (once CO-Owner of Intense) could be one sided esp. when Big Jeff was the one who designed and built the LSD. Scott has already replied to this in an e-mail to Dave. Scott will not reply on the forum even though I think that it would/will help out.

My reason for posting a link was not to bash Intense but in hope to hopefully save someones engine/trans before it was too late.

good info to know.

wow, that'* one immature club. i only go there in the very very very very very very very rare situation in which they have info on something that I can't find here. so immature... so childish. at least the youngn'* here are respectful.

i'm not going to pretend that i was in the market right now for a limited slip, but it'* still nice to know...

Not to start any arguments, and if the mods think I am doing so, then please delete away!

I agree it is only a one sided story, but coming from Big Jeff you pretty much have to believe it. Especially since once Intense found out about this post, they immediately offered a free replacement for Gen II'*, so obviously it was a problem they knew about. And due to my dads experiences in being screwed by Intense on his LSD'*, everything I read there seems 100% true to me.

But, you will never hear the other side of the story from Scott on that forum, as he does not post on it because he believes it is bad for buisness. (which in some cases I agree with, this case not being one of those)

As I said, if this post seems inappropriate in any way shape or form, please feel free to delete it, just stating the opinion I have gathered from my experiences.

Cleaning up messes left by ex-employees. For information regarding INTENSE'* free gen 2 refresh policy please visit http://www.intense-racing.com/info.html . I want to start this off by saying I've run a Gen 2 since summer of last year with no issues and I think i've beat on my car more then any of you. Then older versions of the Gen 2 do have some shortcommings but we have learned in the year since they came out and made revisions to make them stronger and more reliable. We have yet to have anyone show any proof of any bronze dusting inside the trans and Big Jeff made no mention of this at all to me at anytime while he worked on my car.

People need to realize that Big Jeff designed this LSD, and he was very proud of it. It was the best it could be at the time, given what knowledge was available to him. Shortly after leaving INTENSE he announces that its the biggest catastrophic thing to hit the market and everyone should go back to stock diffs while stating he plans on becomming a competitor in the 3800 market. Take that for you will.

I think most of you know me and I would do nothing to steer you guys wrong. I run the gen 2 LSD in my car, Scott runs it his 2 race cars, Tim King runs it in his car, our family members run it in their cars. Is the gen 2 LSD the perfect LSD? Maybe not, but it is the best we can currently build with our given knowledge. Every time we learn we make changes, its an adaptive world in our small market. You make power, you break things, you find ways to fix them and make more power till you break things. It'* a given that if you mod your car it will eventually break. We try to provide products that will help you get some longevity out of your modded car as well as make more horsepower.

Feel free to email me or pm if you have further questions.
