Default intake tubing

if anyone is looking to make a custom intake and has access to a mandrel bender you should check out this site. its got the 3" intake tubing that we might be able to use for intakes. http://shop.airflowonline.com/Mercha...tegory_Code=IT

i'll update when i get mine in the mail and get it all bent up

mandrel bending is expensive and the rice pipe or civic pipe probably cost alot less all together.
You could press bend it for cheap at any exhaust shop but it will reduce to close to 2.5" at the bend.
Ultimatley do what ever you want, i'm just saying^^^^

Well you could get better performance out of it if you mandrel bent it. If you can do it for free, go for it. It will hopefully work well. Are you going to get a K&N X-Stream air filter to go with that, or are you going to do a fender well intake?

I also notice that a few people have used some kinda ducting ( more laminar then dryer duct and thicker from ZZp or intense ) won't those cause seme turbulance also? I know it won't be as bad as the accordian tube on the stock airbox unit.. but I'm kinda iffy bout how much turbulance those would actually cause.. any info Mustafa ??

If you could make a tube that does a straight shot to the whole in the fender you would be good.

I just switched from a 2.5" AutoZone rice-pipe to a 3" FWI, and the differnce in flow accounts for a noticable bump in HP and torque,
so if there is turbulence problem compared to a metal pipe I wouldn't know it.
