its off of the series III 3800... very nice it is.

the lower intake is the same, so there'* no changes required there, but a bit of fabrication is required to fit our throttle bodies to it. there also sounds like there may be a few misc. wires and hoses that would need to be re-worked.

but if you're willing to try it, the aluminum upper is actually cheaper! than the plastic series II... of course, you do need to keep in mind that you would need to be willing to make a few things yourself, and you'd prolly need a custom intake, as the neck that leads to the TB is a wee bit longer.

Thats the pic from club gp. Someone just finished the installation of that upper intake manifold and said is was actually slower.

indeed it is from clubgp... i've been paying close attention to what they've been doing over there. i think once he works out the little details, it'll end up about even.

the big problem that i see right now is just making a transition to the intake neck of the new upper - our TB was deff. not made for it

anyhew, i've been very very interested in doing this myself... just wish i had the excuse to do it - it probably wouldn't do a darned thing for me, other than a little piece of mind, and looking pretty darned spiffy. oh, and of course, an excuse to make a custom intake
