ok so im ready to make my intake and heat shield i was wondering if there were any step by step post on how to make my intake and heat sheild i was thincking of just going the route of just gutting out my airbox i do not want to put it in my fender thanx

I would suggest that you use the search, it'* up there next to the FAQ and type in "intake" and it'll give you a lot of articles and ideas, or just go over to the next page below vvvvvvv (page 2) and I'm sure there'* a thread with an intake installation and build

There are countless threads about this, and some recent ones as well. You'll definitely be able to find something using the search. Go from there first, and then if there are more questions don't be afraid to ask.

the rice pipe method is very easy theres a really nice step by step at www.fearthepearl.com if your interested in that as far as the heat shield goes there are tons of threads on that as well just use the search

let me know how long your heatshield holds up... my design of the same didnt last more then a couple months.. plexi loves cracking

Haro, I had some plexi a while back for my CAI on the SSE. I never got around to making it for obvious reasons. I was thinking Lexan would be better... :?

I'm using 1/8" Acrylic for mine. It held up for over a year, then I recently reinforced it with a reflective tape. It'* back in fine form again.
