Default installing new musffler...

so i bring it to the shop... they say the 80 series wont fit without chopping and working extra and costing more money... so i say ok and they grab a 40s series.... i get a call back 30 mins later saying this will need chopping too... so now i just told them two glass packs... wtf????

The 80 seires fit'* fine. It'* a direct replacement for your stock SSE/i muffler! Maybe a different shop would be better... Or take some pix to them and ask why it wouldn't work.

too late now.... :( they got me two glass packs and two magnaflow tips w/ resonators. its throaty and on the verge of rice farts...

why the hell did they say it wouldnt fit without chopping stuff up????

No, the F body mufflers we use would fit a lot easier, and require less work then 2 cherry bombs.

Agreed. You do have to cut and splice a little with the Fbody mufflers, but not much. You got ripped, methinks.

Sounds like that to me as well. After the first phone call, I would have told them to hold off on it all. That'* too bad. :(
