Default installing a aeroforce scan gauge

I ordered a AeroForce scan gauge the other day, it should be here tomorrow. My question is, where’* the best place to get my power source?

there is a retained power line in back of the stereo, yellow wire (there are 2 yellows, check them) Are you installing in the cig plug up top right of dash?

Never thought about putting it there. Does it fit right? I was going to get a guage cup and mount it on my A-pillar.

My plan was to mount it on my A-pillar using an A-pillar gauge cup. But they don’t make them for a Bonneville. I’m in with the group buy to get some made, but that may take a while. So I’m thinking I’m going to mount it where the cigarette lighter is. I like this because it’* closer to the windshield so I don’t have to move my eyes as far. Also, I can replace that piece if I do mount it on the A-pillar. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have pics of the whole cut/assembly process on my camera, but don't have it with me. I'll upload some this afternoon.

I powered mine into the remote amp turn on from the head unit, I don't know what color wire it is on the harness. I mounted mine on a vent as I don't want to hack apart my dash or lose my cig/accessory socket. It'* not the best place however.

The vent is not an option for me, my vents are not the round kind.

Mine aren't either. The gauge comes with a bracket that attaches to the back of the gauge. Placing it on the vent is just ad hoc until(or if) pillar pods get produced.
