Default install aftermarket transmission cooler

I can't find posts but I have seen prior posts on installing transmission cooler and noticed some good advice on placement of cooler and routing of lines. Can someone clarify :?: - Also do you route to the main radiator first or the aftermarket cooler. Also what about flow direction?

well you can pick a transmission cooler up at any autozone/pepboys place and it should be about the size of a piece of paper(i think willwren told me that one)
the easiest way to hook it up is from where the transmission lines enter the top of the radiator near the battery, just route the line from the transmission to the cooler, then back into the radiator. it'* real easy to do just make sure that you have the correct size fittings.

i just did it a couple of months back, if you got any more ?* let me know

i bought one that was about 6" x 10" which is a little small, so that might bias my opinion but i saw no diffrence at all. If i had a trans temp gauge now that would probably be a diffrent story. but for shifting no noticeable diffrence.

No not really its doing the same thing but you could add another one just for extra tranny protection as Ive heard in past posts.

I believe pre 96 they have the external tranny cooler and 97+ it'* built within the radiator. Willwren has the original stock ones outside and has too also added another ( 2nd) external tranny cooler.
