That is a K&N 9" filter. Expensive, but I think it'* worth it.

Nice looking intake merlin!!

BTW, that is a 4" to 3" rubber connector on your TB? Did you use high temp paint for the pipe?

There is all kinds of room in there, now I just have to figure out the best way to build a CAI. I kind of like that plexiglass job. The rubber is a straight 3 1/2" fitting. I took an extremely sharp knife and cleaned some of the rubber out of one end to fit over the TB. You dont need to take out very much. Everything sort of ended up red because the MSD stuff was red. I think it looks pretty sweet though.

I agree, the red is very sweet. I never really liked the look of those covers on the L36, but since you painted yours red it looks AMAZING!! Maybe do a little mesh screen in that and it would be even better!

I went to Home Depot today and couldn't find any 3 1/2" connectors
They're all 4"

You dont have to use high temp paint on the intake. You can use regular enamel.

I'm sorry. I may have screwed up. I'm trying to remember if it was a 3" connector. I'm starting to think that it was. (I had to do a trial and error thing). They come with 2 hose clamps that are too small for the TB. The one that is on the TB initially is just the right size, though.

What temps your engine run at? I know those Series II covers run HOT.
