my guess is that stainless steel would be the best option for this (dont want to rust a hole in it...

You got the pipe mandrel bent, right?

I have a pic of the intake I made out of polished stainless tube on my cardomain. It was cheap and easy to do. About $60 and 20 minutes work.

I hear ya, but for the price its all good. I'm trying to come up with some ideas on improving it. This must be flowing better than stock though.
