The dynomax F body muffler is by far the quietest aftermarket muffler for our cars. Then the Magnaflow, and the Flowmaster loudest. Thats atleast what i've seen from experience.

Anyways an aftermarket muffler isn't going to get you pulled over. It'* if you abuse the tone of it and step into the fast pedal all the time. Thats when you'll draw attention to yourself and get pulled over.

Magnaflow won't pop if you keep your resonator, and it flows better than the dynomax and flowmaster.

You have to decide what you want more. Performance or sound.

Performance or sound? No one will ever feel a difference betweeen them, they're all the same really

I think mufflers purchases for our cars should be based on sound preference by the buyer.

Our the performance gains on our cars with exhausts proven? Or is it a 'touch and feel' kind of thing?

It'* based on flow bench and dyno information in other applications. There'* generally a 2-5 hp difference between each of the most popular mufflers here (dynomax, flowmaster, and magnaflow) with the Magnaflow being the highest.

I just had two Mellotone XPS mufflers put on, the shop estimated non more than a 3% gain per (went from one to two). I did'nt really care, it made the back end look fantastic and the sound is FANTASTIC. It really sounds like an American V6 now.

Unless you're going to spend the $900 for a "performance" setup, you're not really going to see the diff, but with the rumble you'll at least "feel" it.
