Went in to get the hi-flo cat put on, there isn't any going back to stock because he unbolted the stock cat from the flange and welded the new one onto it. But I am happy with it. Here is the clincher, got the cat of and it sounded ok but I wanted to know what it would sound like with the resonator off. So he cut it off and put a 2.5 inch pipe in its place. Started it up, sounded the same only louder and I could hear the motor'* beats better. Took it up and down the road and there was no rasp at all all the way up to 5,600 RPM. Granted it will pop and sometimes backfire when I abruptly let off the gas but I heard that faintly with the resonator on. There must be something about my dual magnaflow muff setup that keeps the exhaust note sounding deep.
Only thing left to do now is get bigger piping (2.5 inch) from the tube in place of the resonator to the mufflers to get it breathing better.
I wonder if this little adventure killed my 4 kr...
