the vast majority of kits on ebay are going to be detrimental to performance.
That filter on that kit is more restrictive than your original, and it will also be exposed to warm engine temperatures also hindering performance.
your best bet would be an FWI from INTENSE racing

or a gutted airbox with a drop-in panel k&n filter

Toastedoats,
Intense page doesn't say it will fit an '04 SE, what differences are there between '03 and '04? I have been looking for a kit to upgrade, but not sure about which to get, this one looks good, guess I could call them.
Also, I just purhcased a replacement filter for my car, a K&N filter. What advantages are there going with this type system RAM Air vs. Stock system with K&N filter.
:?:
Just curious.

there are no major differences between an 00 and 04 (except for the GXPs of course) that would make the intense kit not work properly, i believe intense "forgot" about the 2004 Bonneville because it stopped being produced with the L67 in 2003 so their interest in it diminished. you should have no fitment issues at all with your 04

Ok, per the second half of my question above...

Also, I am not very auto tech capable, but if I decide to go with this, is it something that an average person can do? or does it need to be garage shop done? I do have some basic tools and stuff.
Thank you,
