wow ! that would be closing in on a $1000 a pop ! i can claim it but i have a $500 deductable. i better watch letting my wife drive my car , she is has rock to windshield magnatism ! lol
I put a new non-hud windshield in my old 1993 SSE and the display was a 8.5 out of a possible 10 (10 being a new HUD one). Only the slightest bit of blurry, not enough to tell without really focusing on it for a couple seconds. I was happy with that $125 ($75 for the windshield and $50 for the install).
Comp....my agent is a good friend of mine.....with alot of leverage with the company
Bubba, your glass deductible is probably 50-100 bucks. We're not talking collision deductible here. Most glass companies will waive the deduct anyway, and on that windshield, they'll waive up to 200 bucks. There'* alot of profit in that glass for them.

I've mentioned my idea and still on plannin on doing it.. but won't be anytime soon though.. is to get one from a Corvetter with the built in Tachometer on the HUD put into and replacing my existing HUD. I just don't know what size difference there is. The radio thing in my opinion that the newer Bonnie 00+ has is a gimick. How often do you need to know what radio station you're on is? And that'* also why you have preset on them. It'* more practical for me and trippier
to see what my engine is at then what station I'm listening to for the last hour.. I would just need suggestion or help as to where to get the Tach reading for the HUD from... I'm assuming the Signal sender going to the Display Tach ( if spliced in ) would work? Humm....
I'm still trying to find out if this is practical or not. Right now i found 2 complete hud assebleys that include the switches, hud and all the wires out of a 97 and a 98 gtp. My question is can that be wired into my 94 lesabre? Do the signals just come from the wires leading to the gauge cluster for these years, or would i not be able to wire a 97 or 98 gtp HUD to my existing wiring.
Thanks
Michael
Thanks
Michael
ok, but the wires i'd have to tap into would be the ones leading from the pcm to the gauge cluster, correct? or are the huds directly wired from the pcm? If so would the signals from an OBD2 be different than the signals from an OBD1 ?
