Has anyone used http://gmtuners.com/? It seems like a cheap way to get a performance PCM, and they support 93 vin L, which I havent seen many of, unless I looked in the wrong places.

Jet covers the 93.

And yes, we know about GMtuners. He'* a member here, and there'* one or two of his PCM'* running.

do you know how much benifit you get with GMtuners compared to Jet, as in HP and torque?

Nobody can tell you that, as neither has been put on a Dyno, either before or after. I don't believe GMTuners has done so, either. Jet did do dyno work in the development of the 93 PCM for the SSE and SSEi.

for GM tuners you need scan tool data

Yeah, i think this is better because you end up with a chip more oriented to your car. It does take work but i think it'* worth the extra effort.
A dyno along with scan tool data would be even better.

That'* what Jet did in development. Scan/Dyno development, Scan data on the track for de-bugging, and the first chip put in a car for street testing.

I'm talking about more of a setup specific setup. Two cars are never exaclty the same when there stock. They should but most don't.
On top of that with different modifications cars will definitely act different. Different boost levels, engine efficiency, average ambient temps/humidity, etc. will change maximum timing advance, fuel trims, optimum shift points among other things.Theres no doubt in my mind that the jet chip works well with the same setup that is was dynoed with. Not only that but similar setups as well.
I just think that if can be taken a step further.
