Homebuilt turbo kit
Just thinking out loud, comparing different turbo kits, and it doesn't really look too hard to build one at home. I'm kinda tired, so hopefully this makes sense.
Anyways, I was looking at the cartuning turbo kit, and it looks like the turbo is only spooled up by the front bank of the motor, i.e. the exhaust goes from the front manifold, through the turbo, then out the rear manifold. What if a guy was to take a coupla F-body 3800 manifolds and fab some pipes so both banks spool the turbo up, helping it spool up quicker? I don't know if there'* enough room, but it seems kinda silly to only run the turbo off of one bank and not both.
Is the myth confirmed or busted?

Ya, that'* what I thought also. It looks too complicated to run the rear bank into the turbo and then exhaust both out. :?
Our engines are just too sideways.
Time to step up to the new G8 and turbo that RWD'er. :P

I'll just put the exhaust straight out the hood. 
The laughing gas will be on next year, but it'* not goin' on until there'* a new tranny up front.
Back on topic, doesn't it look like the turbo is run off the front bank?

I don't think so Bill, thats just the crossover from the front to the back, the exhaust on the backside of the turbo just hooks up to the rear manifold, and the gas continues on to the downpipe and out the car.

The rear manifold feeds the turbo. The usual downpipe position is connect to the BOV while what used to be the crossover pipe connection on the rear manifold is then routed to the turbo.
The Cartuning setup, as well as the Statama, have both engine banks driving the turbo. There'* no other practical way to do it.

That picture is confusing as heck. I see where both the front and rear manifolds attach to the turbo, but then what'* that other downpipe attachment for?
EDIT: Nevermind, the previous post clears that up.
For what it'* worth, Saab uses (or used) a turbo engine only running the turbo from one bank, but feeding all cylinders. Strange, but true.

That would seem like a tuning nightmare as an aftermarket solution though, for sure.
