high speed fan override
does anyone know which wire to ground for the high speed fan i would think its the same wire that make the fan go on when the a/c on this is for my 98 regal L36

There'* two ways to do it. I currently have it done through the relay on the SLE, but I'm tied directly into the PCM on the SSEi now. No wires through the firewall (for me, the PCM is actually in the cabin on both cars).

i have no dark blue wire on mine and my relays are differend on a 1998 so did anyone do it on a 98 plus .i have 3 relays that are for the fans

So i looked im my FSM and it said "Blue connector, Drk GRN/WHT wire" for the high speed relay going to the PCM. i taped into it and grounded it and fans did not turn on :?
but the Check Engine light did :? good thing it went off when i turned it back on, also good thing i have a spare PCM lol
But i did just read in Willwrens old post that someone said that they could not get this working on a 95, witch means sense i have the same PCM as a 95... i dont think this will work for 94&95'*

PCM connections are different. Where (what topic) did you get that information from? What year was it for?
I have my original 'happy box' schematic around here somewhere. I'll dig it up and tell you which wire you SHOULD have used.

no thats right out of my 94 FSM. for the Blue C3 connector.
and now that i look at my relay under the hood, i have a blue wire coming out that and in the FSM it says that will turn on the relay
hmmm this is weird...

Works on a 95, i just wrote about it like yesterday lol. The only thing is that i must turn the car on to turn the fans on. I cant turn them on if the key is just on acc. But i can start the car, and shut it off and leave it on acc, and not off and they stay on.

Found the missing volume.
1. Remove the passenger side kickpanel above the passenger footwell (below the glovebox).
2. Remove the 10mm bolt from the black bracket that holds the SILVER colored PCM.
3. Spit, curse, and rant as you wiggle that PCM out of it'* tight freaking hole.
4. Now that it'* somewhat accessible, disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
5. Locate connector D on the PCM. I have no clue what color it is on the 95, as I've never had it out of my SLE. It should have a dark blue wire on position 10. For reference it should also have a dark green wire on 11, Brn/wht on 13, dk grn/wht on 15, tan on 1 and 2, pnk/blk on 4, purple on 3, grn/wht on 12, dk blue on 16, and red/blk on 3. This is to help you identify the right connector. Regardless, wire TEN (10) is dark blue.
6. Get an inline splice. Tie IN to that wire. Do not cut it. You're creating a branch in the circuit.
7. Run that NEW wire branched into pin 10 through a switch, and then to ground (that wire comes in to one contact of the switch, the other contact to ground......any wire going into metal in the passenger compartment).
What you're doing is not waiting for the PCM request for the high speed fans. The PCM controls the ground to the high speed fan relay. You give it that ground when YOU want it.
