Which headers are available for our cars. I know SLP has them, but I cant remeber the other ones. I really dont feel like paying $700 for headers. Also what shift kit are people running?
* and * those are in the $300-$400 range
SLP $600
TOG $more than SLP
ZZP ported manifolds $250-$350
And Intense has the best shift kit $130 complete with a new filter.
Hope that helps-Jeremiah

Damn I thought the TOG were cheaper thatn the SLP'*. None of these headers got CARB #'* right. I just dont want anything to kick up the SES light. I guess time to start doing some more research.

Im probably just going to go with the ported stock manifolds. This way I wont lose tq. as if I was going to get headers. The SSEi have the 4t65e-hd trannies in them. The 4t60e trannies are the older ones for in the Series I motors if Im not mistaken.

Little Tanny History for ya:
The 4t65e was first used in the 1998 SSEi, where they used the HD version i believe. After that year, all trim levels got the 4t65e. The 1998 NA all got the 4t60e, as did all of the NA bonnies before then. I am not sure when they started to put the 4t60e in the h-bodies...i think there is more about this subject in techinfo, look for the Bonneville timeline (compiled by *****).

Why are the TOGs so much more expensive than the *&*? Put another way, on the theory you usually get what you pay for, what are you giving up if you go with the *&* model?

Yes I know you get what you paid for
. But that always isnt the case. Sometimes you pay for the name & not the results. But I dont recall anybody asking why the TOG'* were so much more expensive than the *&* headers. All I said was I thought the TOG'* were cheaper than the SLP'*.
