Default Gutting the airbox!

Chad thinks my car will sound different if we gut it... but not in a bad way. I'm just curious if anyone in here has an SE with this done and what problems you've run into and if anything has gone seriously wrong. This would be the first mod under her hood and I'm freaked out! Let alone Chad'* doing it lmao!!! JK!

I've gutted about 4-5 SE'*. No issues, no problems. They do sound bad at a cold idle. But 30 seconds in...everything sound much better.

If you need another airbox LMK via PM.

I've done a SE airbox before and nothing major came up. Only about 3lbs of peanut shells came out of the aix box after we opened it But combined with a K&N afterwards there was a nice throaty sound @ WOT.

You'll like the result! Like said, it sounds a little harsh when cold for 30 seconds, but quickly gets a nice throaty sound under throttle. As long as you put in a nice K&N drop-in, there'* no down side that I've experienced.
