how much would it cost to make a CAI, cuz i dont exactly have a whole lot of money to spend.
otherwise I think I might just run some ducting up to the intake snorkle.

The PVC fittings are cheap. All you need are a 45 degree, reducer, and connectors to couple the 45 to the reducer and the 45 degree to your throttle body. The 3" to 4" rubber connector is the most expensive part at around $10. The all you have to do is drill a hole in it for the AIT sensor and use a 1/2" rubber grommet to plug in the hole to accept the AIT.
Real simple and real CHEAP.
I would recommend forming a heat shroud around the sides of the cone with some Reflectix bubble insulation to keep it cooler. You can buy that silver wrap at the hardware store too.
Those hot exhaust manifolds will heat your intake charge to over 140 F in the summer.
The plastic insulation will stand up to engine bay heat and the trick to forming it is to use a lot of aluminum tape ($5 a roll).

does anyone have a picture of their custom intake that they made? I think that I can get it figured out but a picture or three sure would help.
I'd like to run my own custom intake in the summer and warmer months and then run stock intake during the winter and colder months.
P.*. custom intake would give me better gas mileage right? and the same for having a stock intake with ducting running up to the snorkle?
