Default Group Purchase for *&* 3.8 SII TURBO MANIFOLDS

After negotiations with Mr. Lauren Barnes at *&* Headers, we have discussed validity and possibilites of Turbo manifolds. Beau (as you may know him from ClubGP) will be testing some *&* manifolds from them with in the next few weeks. These are not a production run set, these are a (Will they work) type of set, because Lynoise (as you may also know from ClubGP), *&*, and Beau have spoken with each other, trying to determine a way of producing turbo manifolds...

What this thread is for!
If you are interested in purchasing turbo manifolds from *&*, you need to place your information here. AND email me with your info. Including:

Name:
Address:
Telephone number: And or Email Address:

Subject entitled "I want *&* turbo manifolds"

Please don't send an email about questions with that subject heading. ALL info will be placed here, in this thread.

INFO: Primaries are likley to be 1&5/8 inch. With a cross over of 2 1/8.
Just like the type they have now. The PRICING on these manifolds will be VERY similar to the set of 3.8 manifolds they have now. Perhaps even less.
These primaries and crossover diameters work well for exhaust velocity, and scavenging. What little that can be done with little overlap the Series II should have with a turbo cam.

So, Durability, Fast spool, Name you guys already know, quality products. Inexpensive. This is a bolt up application!

POST AWAY

EMAIL ADDY for any questions about an L67 turbo conversion and for the Manifolds (please use proper subject from above when inquiring about manifolds only.. thanks)

No problem... questions are a good thing

Unfortunately, at this time, these manifolds are being custom made for the L67 and L36 (3800 Series II fwd) only at this time.

I'm sure if there'* enough interest in the L27 market to go turbo you may be able to work something out with *&*.

If you guys read ClubGP at all, you'll see the fastest L67 is INTENSE with their turbo application GTP. I'm sure you all know the wonders they've done for their Bonneville and turbocharging the GTP put them at around a 12.0 second run with only 15psi...

What about the cross over pipe? Will these manifolds incorporate the cross over into themselves (as in a one piece design) or will it have a custom pipe also? Also, what about the exhaust pipe to CAT? Will it work with the stock exhaust system? What rating of Turbos will it handle? Do you have any pics?

I'll lead the L27 push for turbo manifolds because I know there is quite a bit of us around here. However, any ideas on the cost?

Ok i'll play devils advocate, why can't you just put a turbo on the other end of the regular intake manifold? L27'* already have an intake manifold, the l67 has the */C. Can't the turbo'd air just go into the stock manifold... Oh yeah, i'm new to turbos, and i'd love to really see a good set up or description to know how they really really work. I know they are exhaust fed and the push the air in faster...

If you guys are seriously interested, please email: jmancin1@nycap.rr.com as stated above. (Please make sure you read above and label your emails accordingly so you get the fastest answers to questions and so Beau can decipher what emails are for turbo questions and what emails are for interest in the manifolds.)

Thanks guys.

Lets keep this going!
