Default Ghetto intake?

I have this idea for a cai but when I tell anyone I get nothing but laughs. Even the girlfriend asked "is that a ghetto thing you make fun of people for doing".
Ok here it is, I bought a 10 'lenth of steel dryer hose I plan on runnig it through the hole behind the headlight and down to the lower grill.
Whats so funny I thought be would be a good cheap idea to incease air flow and bring some colder air into the intake. Im just in the planning stages so any suggestions are cool.
And go ahead and laugh im getting used to it.

SSHHHH!!!!

Maybe..... I found some nice ends for it at the local fleet farm. I have those drains you'd find in the bottom of a shower/bathroom for the ends of mine. Then they even have a grill. I'll be replacing it most likely next summer with the stuff that Intense sells.

I have done that myself. It works okay, but I would just go for a CAI. They are not hard to make, and plans should be up relatively soon.

If you get the chrome one just make sure you paint it so it doesnt stick out as much. To me it almost like the March CAI for the Mustangs.

I am thinking of a way to route some air in through the grill. Mach got me thinking a while ago. It would go through the grill and over the radiator and across to the filter, would have to modify the underside of the hood though. I want the shortest and straightest possible path for the air to flow through. I'm still brainstorming.
