Getting ready for the Drags

Getting ready for the Drags
I'm getting pumped for the big local 1/8 mi drag race set for a couple of weekends from now.
So I pick up a copy of Hot Rod Magazine. You know the one. Expecting to read all about good ol 'Merican Muscle. To my surprise it has an insert edition of Sport Compact Racing Action......read RICER, with a yellow Honda on the cover.
It has all kinds of tips on drag racing basics for street cars. Not too bad.
At least it showed a GP crossing the finish line neck in neck with a WRX at the Irwindale dragstrip.
Then I turn to the last page where they show the timeslip. It didn't say what kind of car it was but it hinted at nitrous ......posted a 7.089 sec at 96 mph for the 1/8 and a 60 ft of 1.547 sec.
It was racing next to someone who posted a slow 11.2 sec at 68 mph.
That really takes the wind out of ones sails.
DAMN RICERS.

What are you doing for track prep for the track? (I am assuming you are bringing the SSEi). If there is anything you need suggestions on, you have my e-mail, and I get on the forum at least once a day, usually 2-4 times, so you can always PM me too. I would be glad to give you some tips if you need them.

The SSEi is not quite ready....yet.
The wife holds Keyfob #1 for the SSEi and I get #2 :(
Check out my Bird.
