na-na-na-na-NA-na!
You may still be able to find them on Ebay, or other distributors. Have you called Jet to verify for yourself, and if they have been discontinued, do they still have the ROM to burn a one-off?

Sorry about the double-post, but I didn't want this question to be missed in case the above post was already looked at.
How can you tell if you still have the original chip? And which box is it in, assuming it'* above the passenger footwell behind the dash?

Silver box. Big connectors. Kinda hard to get out, but you can. The PROM itself is under a 2-screw cover on one face of the box. Disconnect the box, pull it out, and open it. You'll see a white sticker (I think) with the GM markings on it. If you'd like, I can muscle mine out to show you what it looks like with the Jet installed. But not until this weekend.
Call Jet. They're great with customers.

They never made a chip for the SE or the SLE. Just SSE and SSEi. Some minor differences that aren't performance related.....like HUD, DIC, etc. A SCSSE could probably use the SSEi chip, but I'd get more details in that situation.
You should be good to go. Good price, too.

BTW, I think I'm the only one of our generation (OBD1 SSEi) running a Jet. It'll take over 100 miles to 'settle in'. You'll feel gradual gains every day as it learns.
