We had a thread about this a few months back, here it is http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=19392. I threw an Air Hog drop-in into my fiance'* '98 Skylark with the stock airbox, it seems to have just a little bit more giddy-up and WOT sound to it. I think the general concensus so far is they're a pretty good product. You might want to do a little searching on the net and find out what you can about them.

I do like my AirHog. Never had a K&N so I can't compare performance. But considering it was on the shelf at my local parts store, for a minimum of 20 dollars less than a K&N, I'm very happy.

And I did notice a bit of a performance increase, based on seat of the pants dignostics. It also sounds a lot better in my modified air box...

I'll see how happy I am when it comes time to clean and recharge

Yup, they're a pretty fram orange. fROM WHAT i REMEMBER OF THE DIRECTIONS, THEY CHANGE AWAY FROM ORANGE WHEN THEY NEED CLEANED/RECHARGED. tHEN THE OIL YOU USE TO RECHARGE THEM MAKES 'EM ORANGE AGAIN.

Friggin caps lock... Too lazy to retype.
