Flowmaster vs. Dynomax
You can go to www.gmpartsdepot.com for pricing and availability of all available crate motors. They have long and short blocks, etc. But if your not going to be doing it yourself, let your mechanic order it. The crate motors come w/ 3 year/36000 mile warrenties, but a certified shop has to work on the motor to get the full warrenty.
Mine was year specific to the 94, meaning that was the ONLY motor I could use w/o moding the wiring harness etc. so mine was more expensive than the Gen2 96 to 99 L36 and the 95 L27. But in the long run if you really ike your car, crate is the way to go, especially w/ the 3 year warrenty.

Oh really? The parts list stated other wise. Didn't seem to make since to me why the 95 would be a gen 2 L27 and not fit into my car. That'* what thru me off. I was just going by their information(gmpartsdepot). Hell I'm a novice! I stand corrected.
That'* why u r the MAN

Will, stuff like that scares me, if they are wrong about that, what else can they be wrong about? I guess it could have just been a typo. Actually it all makes since now. That'* why I was pissed cause I couldn't put the motor THEY had listed as a gen2 L27. I also didn't think it made much since to make a L27 gen 2 for only one year. I should have known that couldn't be.
