Did the flowmaster 40 series fit right in where the stock muffler was? Or did you have to mess around with it a little bit, cause i want to put one on my 97 se, and i was wondering if i could just do it myself, from the looks of it it looks like i could. But just wondering.

Love my flowmaster but the power gain is minimal compared to other options. Nice sound though.

Until I test them I can’t say but I have felt the difference with the dynomax in a friends Bonneville and it was better than mine. The problem is it didn’t sound as nice and most of all we were dealing with two totally different cars. No real science. Felt something "felt" better, but who’* to say.

I believe in overdoing it. I believe Borla is a great option for the 2000+ guys but wow what a price. Most Bonneville guys are not willing to spend the money. I am sure the flowmaster deal is great if you plan to go with more than a 60hp increase. If all you were going to do is a few intake and header mods 25-40hp gain I would stay with a smaller cat back system. The flowmaster needs much bigger flow to give you any real bang for your buck. Once again it is loud and people look.... maybe its the power sliding making them look. Not sure.

Anybody heard of using a "X" pipe cross-over...this is suppose to be used for DUAL exhaust off a "Y" manifold.....???? (sort of having a Y-Y configuration....
