Default A few Mod Questions

1. Can you rig up a pulle system to spin the supercharger twice as fast if so will that be hazardous to the motor and or any other parts?
2. If you add a custom intake like the K&N on a supercharged bonnie how much Horses can u expect to gain? Also what does the IAT sensor do on the factory intake and does its placement on the new intake matter at all?
3.What is the purpose of exspensive spark plugs do you gain horsepower or just burn fuel more effiecntly

1. Spinning the superchargerfaster forces more air in which should result i more hp. But, the more air you try and force in the more heat is generated and when you put hot air in an engine you loose hp. If you have headers and portwork done, less force is required to push the air in, so that creates less heat and it means you can spin your supercharger faster without having to worry about it.
2. You can make a cutom intake with a K&N con filter. The IntakeAirTemperature sensor senses the incomming air temp. If you put the sensor closer to ambient temps, it can increase igintion timing a degree and add a small amount of fuel. This has the potential to add a couple hp.
3. Expensive sparkplugs that are the correct heat range and gapped corectly will give you the best gas milage and most power out of your current set up.

Also the colder ranges help combat heat.

TWICE as fast? No, but a small percentage will benefit you if you have an intake and exhaust. It would help to know what year SSEi you have.

Most of us gain 25hp and 40 ft/lbs of torque with a pulley swap. But you need to do the intake first, and the exhaust would be a good idea too.

Please put your year and model in your signature.

1. How much does a pulley cost that would give me the most performance? Is it an easy job changing pulleys would a newbie mechanic be able to accomplish this with the right tools?
2. When you build a custom intake do u need to have the shield around the cone or is that just a safeguard? If you don;t put the guard could water or other particles enter your motor?
3.How do you determine heatranges for spark plugs? I have no mods only mod im thinking about are intake and pulleys.
