Did they even LOOK under your car? Low catalyst efficiency isn't possible on your car, as greyhare said above.

Find a new exhaust shop?

OK, No they did not look under the car.
They had the parts page from the last muffler shop that wanted $200 more to do the same job.

This was something I was wondering because I said there was no Air pollution tubes or sensors with the cat.

They said that the Magnaflow engineer said the light would come on and if there was a problem they weren't responsible.

This is good news then because this High spun cat is the closest thing you can get to just a plain piece of pipe. LOL

I am going to go ahead and order this cat then, and keep the factory resonator, and go with the F-body muffler by magnaflow. They said they would probably need to replace the tail pipes. Tips are too much now and will do them in the fall.

I have a set of custom flame throwers.(bought for a 57 Chevy) I think they would melt the rear bumper fascia.LOL Be cool though on a night run to just blast flames out the back!

Thanks guys. Once again you have set my mind at ease.

If that setup kills the ignition so raw fuel goes through the system, like all the kits I have seen, it is a good way to destroy the new cat. Some raw fuel will burn off in the cat causing it to overheat.

Sorry to be a spoilsport.

theres an easy fix for that dont get the cat. run cat-less it will hurt performance but the flame throwers would be twice as cool. My dads 60 falcon has flamethrowers on a pretty built engine so the flames are like 6ft long

That'* fairly illegal for post-74 cars. Besides, I'd rather have a rear bumper cover than flames. It helps attract the ladies when your car isn't melted.

WOW!
I installed the Magnaflow High Spun Cat today!
What a difference! I kept the rest of the exhaust stock but Holy Cow!
the car is a whole lot faster and stronger than it was before!
I know for a fact that my 0-60mph is way better!
I am loving this!
