Default Exhaust Manifold (Question/Help)

Umm,

okay so i talked to a mieneke and they said it would cost me around 270 dollars to get my new * n * headers put on and i said umm f-that. so anyone know of how exactly to install these on a 97 and if there is welding involved if so is there a better shop to take it to? Maybe a mexican muffler shop?! lol........ thanks

there is no welding invloved...you can do it yourself, as many on the club have....

the guys that have done it will chime in soon

You'll have to weld them to your catback and you may have to move the cat to the rear a little.
You may want to have the O2 sensor bung relocated to the end of the rear header because its currently in the crossover.
Thats all I really know though.

don't u all think that 270 dollars is a little excessive for putting on such easy headers? i was expecting to pay around 100 max..

most shops charge ~$80-100 an hour.. right?

i doubt they could be done in an hour

Where are you located? You could hop on CGP and find someone to install them cheep. A buddy of mine got TOG headers installed, shorty DP welded to cat delete, and sway bar flipped for $110.

Or install them yourself minus the cat welding and bung install, then take it to a muffler shop just for those final bits. Shouldn't cost more than $40-50.
