We've got a few guys out in your neighborhood. I think a few of them have aftermarket exhausts. You should see if you can get together with them sometime, and compare various set-ups.

L27'* will NOT sound like L67'* with the same exhaust. Your exhaust will NOT be 2.5" like the SSEi, so that will sound different also.

Yours will sound more like an LG3 or LN3 than an L67. Dig up Jim W'* LN3 exhaust clip on RLD, his old car before the Aurora.

Who has an L27? And who said I can't have a 2.5" welded up? I'm not sticking a muffler on a stock exhaust... well if I get a good deal on the muffler I might until spring but yeah...

I'm really confused now as to why you said L27... isnt that the 92-95 engine? and lg3 is 80'* and so is ln3 right? I'm completely lost.

You really don't need bigger piping. The catalytic is really the only restriction other than the manifolds. PEMs and a high-flow cat ought to take care of any performance concerns. Any aftermarket muffler will do, purely a matter of what sound you prefer.

Mines a base model 94 with the 2.25 pipe. The 2.5 Flowmaster slips nicely over the stock pipe and welds up nice

Thats good, since I'm in the process of getting a 2.5" cat for $20 lol but I also want that one pipe straightened out.. dont remember if it was before or after the cat but it likea V, I'll replace that with a straight section... then I guess I'll just leave the exhaust alone and get a muffler on the end of it... you guys think I should stick this muffler on it? (This was going to be on my 93 civic Sedan after I bought a built-to-hell-and-back 500 whp engine)

And who said you WOULD weld up 2.5"? You certainly didn't. Not sure why you would, either. One of my L67'* has 2.25" and I'm not out-flowing it.

The muffler is really only going to add power if it'* plugged up. Some of the quickest cars here are STILL running stock mufflers to this day. And most rode them well into the 13'*.

Change the muffler for sound. Save the horsepower money for something that will make a difference in power.
