...Engine swap anyone?
Well, this was just a thought...but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea. Would it be possible to swap a series II l67 from a newer Bonneville SSEi (along with the transmission) into my Intrigue? I know this is rather impractical, but the lack of performance put out by my Olds is killing me..
OR, would I be better off just buying a late 90'* Bonneville and start from there? (The engine+trans swap would come from a wrecked car, most likely.)

Bill'* right. If the Intrigue already came with a 3800, pending how brackets are installed, swapping would be pretty easy. Just make sure the PCM'* are swapped too. Driveshafts Bill? they need swapped too?

If you could get a drop out, that would be easiest. You may be able to use one from a Grand Prix, but i am not certain on that. They are all w-bodies. You'* have to get a wiring harness from a 98 (unfortunately I tossed my spare one a while back) and mod it if you got an L67.
If the transmission is the same as a Grand prix one, you might be able to get the PCM from that year Grand prix and make it work.
Just thinking out loud on a lot of this and it'* not tested, but should work in theory.
