They have a turbo kit for the Civic DX motor. It runs about $3500. But keep in mind though that the import market is probably higher than our 3800 market.

OK. But name other companies that make turbo kits for our cars. But his kits are also not a production run. They are custom. Ty is making alot of aftermarket products for us, but if you exclude him how many companies do you have left. Its not going to be no where near the same amount as it would be for imports.

To get to the point the market for our cars falls back to the shops willing to do custom product but the cost goes up. This means cost stops the market. The cost issue is directly related to the number of people interested.
I personally like individual looking cars.. the mass produced look with the sheep mentality bothers me immensely. I have seen this creep into the GP market. I don’t care how fast or how easily a rice box can be made to go fast. I like to be different. As they say in the 4X4 world. “A REAL 4x4 is built not bought”. So instead of some car lot made rice box I vote to build a unique domestic with equal power and greater satisfaction.
I believe the market is very new and as I bring together more options and more builders there will be more cars modified and more of a movement.
Still I believe at its peak the 87-2003 Bonneville movement will not be any larger than the Fiero movement of the past.. Now all we need is a kit car. Hmmmmm.
Believe me there is no money in the Bonneville market. Really the cost is much greater than the yield. Still I am very stubborn and one-way or another It will all happen. The turbo can happen fairly quickly at a greater cost but for the cost posted on the site we need a group buy.
