It sounds like you need to bleed the lines properly first; as that is most likly the reason for the brakes going to the floor.

Did you mount the the calipers reversed from how they were on the Trans-AM ( I.E. left F-body caliper on the right side of your car) because the bleed screw has to be oriented (spelling) at the top of the caliper.

will that make a differance. I have the bleed skrew at the bottom

Yup, that'* a problem, as the bleed screw needs to be at the top to get the air out of the caliper.

Yes flip them around and re-bleed them, problem solved.
