Hey bullet, I wouldn't give up yet. Mine is really great. It'* just the climate difference. I think you'd do great with only 2 holes. I like the fact that I don't get total heat saturation before the stat opens. Criusing temps are much better, but still safe. This will be fantastic in the summer.

I'd get another one, drill two holes, and use it for winter, then use the 4-hole for summer. I think I can get away with the same stat year-round.

Default 160

I do run the 160, but I only drive the car in the summer. Lots of my summer driving is in stop and go with the air on. I would lose races left and right when it was above 90f. So i went for it and got the 160. also i tricked my stock cooling fans (yes the ac fan also) to a switch inside the car i can turn on whenever. It was very easy. 2 diodes a switch and 10ft of 18awg wire. Only one time i had to drive it in the winter and i got NO heat at all. Drove 40 min to work freezing my 8all$ off.

Hey .. Why not submitt the "how - to" for the fan overide to Will?? I think a lot more people ( hint hint.. me ) would be interested in doing it this summer, and I think would be great in the tech info forum on the top.. hint hint... Will....
