Marginal.

You'll gain a decent amount of midrange and top end power.

Go with the PEM'* for sure, otherwise that DP won't make a lot of difference. The two together will be a good combination.

I'd personally hold off on the CAT for now. You have the same cat as an L67. Think about that.

so for 150 it is a worth while expense for the mandrel bent DP the piping and all the flanges and removing the resonator. I guess I should mention that I am in the mountains so since it would flow better I could feel it in the buttdyno even here

I personally think you'll regret removing the resonator.

I personally love the sound of toastys car so that is why I am thinking of removing it. as for the cat I think it might be clogged because my milage has taken a dump so I am thinking the pems and the DP will help at the very least and not hurt me. A o2 sensor will go in the same time so I figure all of that should help power and mileage. She just turned over 100k so I figure the o2 is toast and that is part of the mileage thing

We have more than a couple members here running 2000+ Bonnevilles without a resonator and stock muffs; and i have heard no real complaints.

If he were to go with aftermarket mufflers, then no, i would not remove the resonator

is the 1/8" of a difference worth it to you?

granted the pipe does get a little smaller, and kinks a little funny.. but IMO a 2.5 would not be worth it..

well toasty I got a setup of flo pro vforce muffs not stockers I want it louder though so I might get something smaller to get it louder. I want power and sound but it seems like that is hard to do. as for you haro I think getting the kinks out at the least would be worth it

The 2.5 inch will be an improvement for sure over the stock DP; i think it is a much better plan to go with a 2.5 than a 3" especially on Greg'* L36. The 3" is WAY too much on the L36

Greg; if you still want it louder i would look into possibly getting an aftermarket resonator. But the first step may be to just remove the OEM one, then go back and get a high flow resonator installed if it ends up being too raspy or have too much drone for you. Keep us posted on what you do and how you like it
