I've had both.
Both of them shifted at 6000 RPM and turned on the cooling fans early as well as when the car is shutoff. Both gave me some kind of gain.
But like said above, the DHP gave me stronger upper end power and it pulls harder at higher speeds. I was getting lots of KR from the Intense PCM from high timing too. The DHP probably got rid of some of that KR.
Overall though the car feels slightly more aggressive and quicker with the DHP.
There are a number of Bonnies running them. ChadV has one too.

ok, gonna need some education here. I do my own OBD I tunning on my 92 camaro but don't have much OBD II experience. can you really get that much of a power increase with a PCM change on a car like a bonneville of grand prix? in my experience, unless it is a high performance car (e.g. camaro, corvette, etc.) the maunfactures don't leave that much performance on the table that doesn't compromise fuel consumption or breakage problems. I know they de-tune the high power cars by lots to save drive train components and not get as big a slam on the gas guzzler tax. what kinds of gains are you guys getting with a PCM flashing? I am sure you get a lot more on a L67 than a L36.

As for fuel economy, well...high performance and fuel economy don't go well together

but what if the only thing done is flach the PCM? no other mods. like I was saying, you can get 18+ hp on a ls1 car. can these motors even see 5 more hp with just a PCM flash?

A DHP is designed for modified engines. They don't recommend one on a stock vehicle. Their test car showed a 20HP gain in some areas of the powerband with a pullied 3800.
