Damnest thing i've ever seen...
At Bryon raceway, they have scales that are free to use, and pretty damn accurate. Here'* what we've learned so far.
TaylorD with 200 lbs stereo (no spare) 4140lbs
Rogue no spare was 3880lbs
I was 3660 in race trim
BonnieBrougham'* 83, loaded, RWD (heavier then FWD) and v8, was 110lbs lighter then my 93, @ 3550.
The biggest one was the lightest! It handles remarkably well I might add. The steering is lighter then mine, and it actually turns. Turning radius is maybe a lil bigger then the H body bonnevilles. But a sweet car nonetheless.
EDITED to correct weights

GM already did this with aluminum hood, engine cradle, front bumper, control arms at least for the 00+ years. Not that it helps any.
I drove Christie'* car as well. It reminded me a lot of my 79 cutlass big, floaty, full of power. Too bad we couldnt get it down the track.

the problem is that GM make the parts in the front lighter, when they should have made the back lighter. An aluminum frame would help alot, but its probably too expensive.

Couldn't believe I was 4140 lbs
I thought todd was 38xx I rember doing the math and My stereo weighs 280lbs. and my car was already on a diet, rear seat was out too, didn't take out the mats but not much else to take off.
Damn lighter SSEi''* are faster than me with less mods, oh well I wouldn't give my stereo up for anything and I personally prefer the 2K body style over the 99 and older even with the extra weight.
I remember my Aurora weighed 4137 with full fluids and no stereo system and everything in the car.

we happen to have a scale we use for weighing grain trucks in our yard, I think I will go weigh my car tonight in full trim and then race trim so people can have an idea of what a 96-99 SE weighs.
