Default mods on my 03 ssei

i plan on doing a lot of mads to my car like intercooler, cam, headers, hig flow cat and resignator and exhaust, and smaller pulley. ill have to read around what size pulley i can run when i get all that done but i was wondering if there is any kinda order i should do all that in. like if it would hurt i get headers and bigger exhaust system before doing anything else. does it hurt performance to do that. and what size piping should i run. what size would be too big?

The quickest cars on this forum are all running stock diameter 2.5" piping.

one thing im lookin at is your mods in your sig and im bettin that your gettina ton of kr with those few mods and a 3.25 pulley, especially with stock manifolds. You can prolly run a 3.4 pulley with those mods.

Yeah, open up your intake and exhaust before serious mods start. Get a fender well intake, some headers, and the stock cat-back exhaust flows well enough for quite a few mods. As far as I know, Rogue is still runnin' his stock cat back, and he'* in the 12'*.

I personally got the Intense level three kit, and am really pleased with it. I'm hoping this winter to put on a gen V m90, some heads and a cam. Keep me posted on what you do, and the results you get!

Your stock catback is good up to about 400hp (provided you install headers and either a hi-flo cat or a race pipe). At 420hp your stock heads and the catback become a limiting factor and should be upgraded.

The 3.2 is too small for your car right now, I HIGHLY recommend moving up to a 3.4 before you grenade your motor. You may want to check out the performance packages INTENSE has. You can get to our site by clicking the pic in my sig.

Most people start out with, 3.4 pulley, smaller SC belt to match (GB 4060715 in your case), autolite 104 plugs, 180 T-stat, aftermarket PCM, and some sort of better intake (FWI recommended).

Also, to answer your question on the headers, you will lose down low torque but gain upper end power. This is easy to account for though with a boosted car, you just add more boost and get the low end grunt back. Most people running headers and other beginning mods can run a 3.2 pulley however scanning is always recommended.

Maybe...I wasn't...the only way to tell is to scan.

Cheers,
