I know it sounds corny but I personally try.

I try not to waste gas, try not to waste food, I save my cans and I dont waste water.

But 1 person doesnt make a difference when it comes to environment. We need to all do our parts and not drive an SUV that seats 9 and never car pool and clog california freeways but thats another topic.

The Trans Sport doesn't have a cat and honestly the Bonne wouldn't either if I didn't hate the sound of the 3800 without a cat. I really don't get why people jump on this environment stuff and yet mod a car for performance.

I couldn't agree more with jrs3800. I just kicked my cat yesterday, only to find it'* all crumbled to bits [was fine when I put the exhaust back on.. but now its shot]. And it sounds that way too, the car sounds a little weird. Even though I cannot afford a new cat, I am also not going to just hollow it out or install a straight pipe.

blazinlo does make a point, not all cars are EFI. There is no shortage of 500ci engines with carburated engines that are driven on the street [I wouldn't say regularly.. but are street-driven]. What about them? I'm sure that those cars don't have a catalytic converter, or an O2 Sensor to measure the AFR. Although a lot of them are tuned very well, to perform their best, they also burn a lot of fuel. That'* what happens when you have a piston the size of a human head.

I may not care a whole lot about the environment, I won't go out of my way to pollute it.

If it'* a daily driven car, put a damn cat on it IMO. You dont' get to bend the rules because you want marginal gains HP wise.
