I've got a later model year and I don't know if it'* the same for you but taking the IAT out of the stock accordian tubing is just a matter of twisting, rocking, and pulling. Be careful, but it should come out. As far as mounting it goes, the best place is in the hole in the filter flange on the K&N RX-4750. That hole is a little bit too small so you'll have to bore it out some. If you don't know how to spilce and solder wires, you can buy an IAT extender (plug and play) from Intense since you'll need the wire to reach a lot further.

I have a brand new IAT Extender I never used. I can sell it to you dirt cheap.

I had my IAT wires extended but found out later I had plenty of wire to plug my IAT in to the RX-4750. Guess it depends on how long your rice pipe is and where it is positioned.
