Polycarbonate. I'd like it to look cool, too. It has a slighly better r-value than sheet metal, anyway, and it'* easier to fab that way. Just like the thrasher. I think starting with Hector'* intake will be great. I'd rather not fart around with both parts.

Love working with plastic.......but I don't mind mill or lathe work either.....might need a custom lower bracket or base to clear the PMV harnesses......I'll know more soon!

Big oopsy-daisy here folks. I didn't catch it right away, either. I get the points, though 'cuz I was first. Pontiac switched to a 180° thermostat in 1999. Anybody from then on should already have one. If in doubt, just look it up in the book at the auto parts store for your year. I could be wrong here....but I remember hearing something like this. Could somebody check on this the next time they're around the parts store? See what year (if any) the 180° started getting used?

Since, I'm still relativly new to mechanic, what would be a straight and easy fit for my bonnie 92 sse? it'* still stock... So any good performer that would help my performance?

As (I think) I stated earlier, my 2000 Bonneville manual states the thermostat is 195. Unless I have a bad 180 (and I do have experience in this department - t-stats don't like me.... ) my Bonnie runs about 200 on the gauge, which would be the big tipoff in favor of me having the 195.

Is it possible that they switched to 180 on the SCd models? BTW, I saw no mention of the 180 t-stat in my manual, and methinks that they make those owners' manuals generic across all model lines - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong....
