How was your throttle response aftewards, did it affect your idle at all? I've been thinking about doing this for a bit, just havent had time...but now that the weather is nice....

I was hoping that by cleaning it it would make it drive like the SSEi but it didn't. :( the throttle response is better, but it'* still not as great as I had hoped. The SSEi is quick to rev with a blip of the throttle, the riv is much slower. also, the SSEi accelerates much better than the riv would ever dream. Push the pedal to the floor to pass and the SSEi pulls HARD, the riviera pulls hard, but just doesn't have the same feeling as the Bonneville. Don't know if it'* the mileage or what, mine has 109K hers has 44K. The idle is much lower now and i'ts quieter too. The inside of the supercharger was horrible on mine, but I didn't clean it because I didn't want to chance damaging it. I ran a screwdriver lightly over the */c inlet and got solid gunk to come up on it. the */c inlet is far worse than the throttle body could ever dream of being, mostly I imagine, beccause of the EGR outlet being right next to the */c inlet.

I bet you've got more of that crud in other places....

Maybe a mini rebuild would help? The SSEi will feel faster even if they're the same, it'* not as soft.

It may be the gearing in the cars.
