Hey Guys,

No No NO! This stage 2 jet chip was a direct replacement! It was IMPOSSIBLE to piggyback it!

Even the instructions said take out stock PCM and insert JET PCM! The Delco chip that was in there was litterally the exact same shap, size, female pin #'* and everything as the Jet. NOTHING in the instructions said ANYTHING about piggybacking.

PLUS I had to have the tech at the shop install the chip, because they didn't believe me. He removed the Delco chip and installed the Jet chip and then tried to fire it up! The tech has now said it doesn't work, meaning they will send me a new one. The tech installed it just like I did! Its not just me that has said the thing is crap!

I don't have the chip/box/instructions anymore as they had to send them back! I wish I could show you guys though, because you would see that there was no way to piggyback the chip! Definately direct replacement, whether or not is was for my car is in question but none the less, the chip they sent me was definately meant for direct replacement!

This sucks. I hear so much great things about these chips, but I have the only Bonnie that can't have one.

No bud, I'm pretty much in the same ballpark. Yeah I have a superchip, but it was custom made and didn't impress me as much as I hopped. I think I'm one of those special cases where I could do just as good with a stock EPROM. Ain't life depressing?

I am supposed to be getting the new chip on tuesday. Or so they say!?

I will definately post the rest of the scenario. This time I am going to install it right in their parking lot. I really hope it works out! I hate having a "stock" vehicle! LOL Even a being little different means something!

I will also post some real world dyno results from the chip!

To be continued...

What other mods do you have done already, and was that a Stage 1 or Stage 2 chip?

Will,

I have done the 180' stat, removed silencer & MAF screen, K&N.

Car goes in for Cat removal (straight pipe replaced) this week as well as a custom made muffler. A welder buddy of mine makes these custom mufflers, his design is top secret, but all the "hitters" run them up here, amazing mufflers!

I decided against the extra tranny cooler on the advice of a good mechanic buddy of mine. I know it will be debated, but I'll trust him anyway! Said that in our climate it is completely unessesary. I'll just get a guage and see how it reads come summer!

I'll be throwing the "boat" on the dyno after the exhuast!

2.4" pulley should be in my stocking for Christmas.

I am hoping to run an uncorrected 14.9 @ 3500ft altitude with this combination come spring when the track opens. More than likely though it'll do low 15'*.

Also thinking of a small shot of the giggle gas for an little bit of an intercooling effect! We'll see.

Beautiful. You're sittin' pretty for the Stage 2 chip. I just hope you can get one that works, and soon. I know what it'* like to wait. Jet doesn't ship very quickly. I can understand about the dual tranny coolers considering where you live, but remember that the greatest benefit will be had in stop and go city driving in the summertime. It makes a difference even on a 70° day. Something to keep in mind while you watch the gauge.

14.9 is right where I am now, but my pulley will be going on BEFORE Christmas, and I have the juice injector turned off until spring

Good luck with Jet. If you get one that works, you'll be VERY pleased after it learns itself.
