Jet makes a chip for the 97. Hector is your man. He'll get it for you cheaper.

Price for a Jet chip for your Bonneville would be $225 shipped to your door as long as you don't live in California. Just PM me and I can give you instruction for payment and such. The chip is worth the money.

Basically it will advance ignition timing (more power), adjust tranmission shift points and kill the stock limiter. But the more modifications you do to your car, the more power it makes. Also if you run 91+ octane gas you make more power. I also suggest 180 degree thermostat, intake, exhaust are the most basic modificatoins you should do

Installation is a breeze. Just located the PCM underneath the driver side of the dash and plug the chip in. It will take you a total of 30 mintues and its comes with detailed instructions. The chip is more worth it after you have done some of the basic modifications to open up your car'* engine.

Sounds goos. How is your exhaust setup exactly? Are you running 2.5" catback with a Cherry Bomb glasspack somewhere in line?
