I'm not too experienced with those prices, but 15 bucks seems awful cheap. That would probably rust out in a year or less.

I have a cherry bomb on my 89 and it works good for the money. I was just looking for a little more sound and it does a good job for that. i'm not sure about the hp gains and I have been told by buddies that they rust out in about a year but for 15 bucks one year is long enough. So I guess its just one of those mods that you need to try for yourself and see how it works for you.

Cheap way out for sound... is a Camaro or firbird v8 muffler. alot of guys with stock camaro or firebirds get rid of them so that is one way. A flowmaster is loud but any oversized pipe or muffler will rob HP.

For prolly just over double the money your going to spend on a thing thats going to rust out in 1 year you can get an 80 series flowmaster that makes your exhaust louder and has dual outlets for dual exhaust... Definatly the ay to go if your pressed for money. You will get performance with this muffler.

Will getting a high flow muffler make a difference, without a Cat-back system? I was thinking of doing such a thing, but the cat-back for me is a little cost-inhibitive.
